Had I not been taught to eat certain animals, would I have know with my own mind and reasoning which animals to eat and which to love? Would I have naturally chosen through interaction to eat a cute and playful pig over a cute and playful dog? Truthfully? No, I wouldn’t have. The thought wouldn’t have even entered my mind. I wouldn’t have chosen to eat any, because naturally all I would want to do is love and play with them all.

I was taught to eat certain species by my parents, just as their parents had taught them. I was taught by the culture and society that I live; the television advertisements, the cooking shows, the magazines, the Happy meals, the KFC, the ‘celebrities’. The conditioning was, and still is, everywhere.

Animals have and will always be my friends. My only wish is that I had awakened sooner. We don’t need to exploit, slaughter and eat sentient beings to be happy, strong and healthy 🌱 and it’s especially better for the environment, the planet, our home 🌍 vegan and proud.
